To provide a means for the development of the talents and interests of all students, SSC sponsors a variety of extracurricular activities. If a student is absent from school he/she may not participate in any after-school activities.
Students must maintain an A average in Conduct and at least a C academic average in order to participate in extracurricular activities.
We have several different extracurricular activities available to all students in different grade levels. Students must always demonstrate Christian ideals in all activities in which they participate.
Cheerleading - Cheerleading is offered to students in 3rd - 7th grade.
In Grades 3rd -7th boys are eligible to become altar servers. Because of the dignity of this privilege, such students should be responsible and willing to make the sacrifice necessary to be faithful to all appointments.
Students in grades 4th-7th are invited to participate in the St. Stephen Sports Program. Our sports program enriches our curriculum by providing the student with opportunities to become involved in implementing Christian values learned at St. Stephen. The following guidelines apply:
Catholic Student Athletic League:
Besides the P.E. program, St. Stephen's students can also take part in the Catholic School Athletic League (CSAL), sponsored by the Archdiocese. For girls, Grades 4th -7th , it includes volleyball, basketball, indoor ball and cheerleading. For boys in Grades 4th -7th , it includes flag football, basketball and indoor ball.
Students should always demonstrate the highest level of sportsmanship and Christian values.
Students will respect other team members. Harassment will not be tolerated.
Students should be committed to preserving the integrity of the team.
Dress, grooming, and behavior during games must conform to the standards of SSC.

Any student who fails to comply with any of the above mentioned will be placed on probation or he/she will be dismissed from the team, depending on the severity and nature of the offense.
The Student Council is composed of representatives from Grades 6 th -7 th . Regular mandatory meetings with the Moderator form a link between faculty and students. A student must have a 2.0 academic average and 2.0 average in conduct. Students are elected by the student body. They must have strong leadership ability, compassion and courtesy to others, Christian values and maintain academic excellence to participate in extracurricular activities.
Students are encouraged to fulfill Christ's command to teach all nations by giving to the missions. Students participate by personal donations, voluntary donations, and service hours.
St. Stephen Catholic School is a meeting facility for scouting groups. Details regarding the program are sent out in the beginning of the academic year to students and parents who are interested in participating.
Before Care is open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:50 a.m. After Care is open from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. There is no charge for either Child Care Program, excluding the 2-year-old program. Students participating in the After School program will also be able to take advantage of all the clubs and activities offered by the school.
